About Us

Welcome to Bristol Link, your guide to the City of Bristol. Our mission is to connect people and businesses.

You’ll discover the best restaurants, hotels, and unique attractions that make our city a great place to live, work, and play. Whether you’re a resident or a visitor, we invite you to explore and connect with everything Bristol offers.

We also promote local businesses and encourage business-to-business relationships in Bristol. If you’re looking for a specific type of business, start by searching our online directory to find local organisations, services, and trades in Bristol and the surrounding areas.

Bristol Link was established in October 2000 as a community-led project, so please contact us if you have any suggestions or would like to contribute in some way. We look forward to hearing from you.

The B Team (due to our consumption of local Cider)

Meet the B Team, the people who live locally and work on this website. The B stands for “Bristol” by the way! 😉

Steve – Web design, development, and online marketing

Steve started Bristol Link in 1999. Yeah, a long time ago. Originally offering web design services, he transitioned into web hosting, and then digital marketing, specifically Search Engine Optimisation (SEO). He still provides these services to local businesses. However, he also manages a small portfolio of personal websites, including Bristol-Link.co.uk

Steve is involved in all aspects of the business, from making the tea to website development and various boring administrative tasks.

Ian – Editor

Ian is our editing chief and amateur photographer. He does his best behind the camera; let’s leave it at that. Thankfully, his editing skills are somewhat better. You might see Ian around Bristol, taking photos for our next article. You’re welcome to interrupt him, but please don’t encourage his flippant attitude towards work – we need him back in the office to finish that article.

Helga – Office Manager

Helga is in charge of this, that, and the other, which includes digital strategy and pushing the chaps around. We would be lost without her management skills and strict approach to professionalism. If there’s a problem, Helga will either fix it herself or tell one of us chaps to fix it in a tone of voice that makes us spring into action immediately.

Looking forward …

Bristol Link will continue to support local businesses within the Greater Bristol area and focus on delivering the best online resource for residents and visitors to our wonderful city.

We will also continue to offer free and low-cost advertising opportunities to local businesses.

If you have a burning ambition or want to make a suggestion, do reach out. Your success is also our success; let’s grow together.
