The City Sightseeing
Bristol open-top bus tour
Travelling on one of the bright red City Sightseeing Bristol open-top buses is the very best way to see the city of Bristol; as you look at the sights of the city from high up on the bus, your fully-trained guide introduces Bristol's history and numerous visitor attractions.
For instance, we take you to Brunel's SS Great Britain, the world's first transatlantic liner. We travel along part of the spectacular Avon Gorge and right under the Clifton Suspension Bridge - one of the sights people come from all over the world to see. We can drop you at the Bristol Zoo, and pick you up later. We drive past Bristol's historic city centre, into the modern shopping precincts and on to Temple Meads railway station before returning, one and a quarter hours later, to the starting-point of the tour. Our buses run for 7 months of the year between mid-March to the end of October and you can hop on and off with a 24-hour ticket at most of Bristol's major historical sights and museums. There are 20 scheduled stops in all. Discount vouchers for various attractions are available along with free children’s packs with pens, competitions and quizzes. You can also book a private-hire bus or coach for the day or evening, with your own personal guide: you choose where you go and what you see. Please note! We are taking a break until the Spring of 2010 (March 6th, to be precise). www.citysightseeingbristol.co.uk
